Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of staff and students across the secondary phase of the school.
- Support the Headteacher and Deputy Headteachers in the strategic development and implementation of school policies.
- Oversee curriculum development, ensuring it meets the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff and students, providing guidance and support where needed.
- Foster a culture of high academic standards, inclusivity, and positive behaviour across the school.
- Work closely with other senior leaders to ensure the school continues to deliver outstanding educational outcomes.
- Promote the school’s values and vision through leadership and engagement with students, parents, and the wider community.
- Support the development of staff through professional learning and career progression opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in a secondary school setting.
- Proven leadership experience, ideally in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design and delivery in a secondary school context.
- Experience in managing and developing staff, including mentoring and performance management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Preferred
- Experience in a large, multi-campus school environment.
- Experience in leading whole-school improvement initiatives.
- Experience with Ofsted inspections and school improvement planning.
- Knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) support strategies.
- Experience in working with diverse communities and promoting equity and inclusion.
