The Opportunity:

As the Assistant Medical Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of students and staff. This is a key position within a large, multi-cultural 11-18 school that values a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first aid support to students and staff across the school site.
  • Work closely with the medical team to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions to maintain up-to-date first aid qualifications.
  • Assist in the management of medical incidents and emergencies as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of medical incidents and treatments.
  • Collaborate with school staff to promote health and safety awareness.
  • Support the implementation of health and safety policies across the school.
  • Attend inset days and training sessions as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Hold a valid 3-day First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Experience in providing first aid in a school or similar setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in schools.
  • Experience with emergency response procedures.
  • Flexibility to work during term time and inset days.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range from £29,926.54 to £31,746.19.
  • Term time working with 5 inset days.
