As a Music Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the school's music program and ensuring that students have access to high-quality musical experiences. This position is ideal for someone passionate about music and committed to fostering student creativity and achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of music lessons and extracurricular activities across all year groups
- Maintain and manage a wide range of musical instruments and equipment
- Assist in the preparation and setup of music spaces for rehearsals and performances
- Collaborate with music teachers to enhance the school's music curriculum and student engagement
- Ensure the safe and proper use of all musical equipment by students and staff
- Provide technical support during school events and performances
- Keep detailed records of instrument maintenance and usage
- Contribute to the development of the school's music program through innovative ideas and initiatives
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in a music-related role, ideally within an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of musical instruments and equipment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexibly and independently within a busy school environment
- Commitment to the school's values and ethos
Preferred
- Experience in supporting music education or performance
- Understanding of music technology and sound equipment
- Experience with curriculum development or student support initiatives
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
