The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Piano Peripatetic Teacher to work with students across the school. This role offers the opportunity to inspire young musicians and support their development through individual and group lessons. The position is ideal for a passionate and dedicated teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality music education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality piano lessons to students of all ages and abilities.
- Encourage and support students in developing their musical skills and confidence.
- Work collaboratively with the school’s music department and other teachers.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Prepare and deliver engaging and challenging lesson plans tailored to individual needs.
- Participate in school events and performances where appropriate.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Stay up to date with best practices in music education and professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified music teacher with relevant experience in piano teaching.
- Strong knowledge of piano performance and pedagogy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student success and development.
- Flexibility to travel within the local area.
Preferred
- Experience teaching students of varying abilities and ages.
- Familiarity with music curriculum standards.
- Experience with performance assessments or examinations.
- Experience in a school setting with a strong focus on student development.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rates based on experience (up to £32.86 per hour).
