Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain science equipment, consumables, and laboratory resources to support teaching and learning
- Assist with the safe and effective use of laboratory equipment and chemicals
- Support science teachers in the planning and delivery of practical lessons
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in science laboratories
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and stock levels
- Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance the science curriculum and student engagement
- Assist in the organisation of science-related events and extracurricular activities
- Provide technical support during science lessons and investigations
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualifications or experience in a science-related field
- Experience in a school or educational setting, preferably in a science laboratory
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Commitment to health and safety standards in a laboratory environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience with teaching assistants or classroom support roles
- Familiarity with modern science equipment and laboratory techniques
- Experience in curriculum development or support for science teaching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
