The Opportunity:

We are seeking an EYFS Teacher - Temporary Cover to support our growing school community. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early years education and committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The position offers an immediate start and the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver inspiring lessons that promote student success and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-focused lessons.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student well-being and academic progress.
  • Work with curriculum support staff to enhance children’s development and learning outcomes.
  • Create a positive classroom environment through effective organisation of resources and displays.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver sessions that cater to the diverse needs of all students.
  • Motivate pupils using enthusiastic and imaginative teaching methods.
  • Assess and observe children in line with school procedures and track their progress.
  • Reflect on teaching practices and make adjustments to improve learning outcomes.
  • Liaise with external professionals such as speech and language therapists, if required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an early years setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in extra-curricular activities.
  • Familiarity with British curriculum standards.
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or equivalent police clearance.
