The Opportunity:

As Assistant Principal, you will play a pivotal role in driving school improvement and fostering a culture of excellence. You will support the Principal in leading the school’s academic and pastoral strategies, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-lead curriculum design and implementation across all year groups
  • Oversee teaching quality and lead professional development initiatives
  • Monitor student progress and implement targeted support strategies
  • Champion pastoral care, safeguarding, and behaviour management systems
  • Promote inclusive practices for SEND, Pupil Premium, and EAL students
  • Support performance management, recruitment, and staff retention efforts
  • Foster strong community and parental engagement to enhance the school’s culture

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education
  • Strong track record in curriculum leadership and school improvement
  • Excellent knowledge of educational standards and policy
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop staff effectively
  • Experience in pastoral care and safeguarding

Preferred

  • Experience in an all-through school setting
  • Background in inclusion and special educational needs support
  • Experience in leading professional development programs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
