Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chemistry across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 for suitably qualified candidates
  • Deliver engaging, well-sequenced lessons that promote strong scientific understanding
  • Contribute to the development of an ambitious and inclusive Science curriculum
  • Use effective assessment strategies to support progress and achievement
  • Work collaboratively within a strong, well-resourced Science team
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
  • Support the personal and academic development of students
  • Engage in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching practice

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Chemistry
  • Experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Commitment to inclusive and high-quality education
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team

Preferred

  • Experience with KS5 teaching and curriculum development
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in delivering professional development to colleagues
  • Experience with data analysis and student progress tracking
  • Experience in extracurricular science activities or STEM engagement
