Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 for suitably qualified candidates
- Deliver engaging, well-sequenced lessons that promote strong scientific understanding
- Contribute to the development of an ambitious and inclusive Science curriculum
- Use effective assessment strategies to support progress and achievement
- Work collaboratively within a strong, well-resourced Science team
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
- Support the personal and academic development of students
- Engage in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching practice
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Chemistry
- Experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Commitment to inclusive and high-quality education
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Preferred
- Experience with KS5 teaching and curriculum development
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Experience in delivering professional development to colleagues
- Experience with data analysis and student progress tracking
- Experience in extracurricular science activities or STEM engagement
