Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a strong pastoral team, ensuring high standards of student support and well-being.
- Implement and monitor strategies to improve student outcomes, both academically and pastorally.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align pastoral care with the school’s vision and values.
- Provide guidance and support to staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Work closely with students, parents, and external partners to ensure a holistic approach to student progress.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pastoral programs, using data to inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies, maintaining the highest standards of care.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the school, supporting long-term growth and success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior pastoral leadership role, with a track record of improving student outcomes.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
- In-depth knowledge of education policies, safeguarding, and child protection procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and implement effective strategies.
Preferred
- Experience in a large, multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Background in leading pastoral initiatives that have resulted in measurable improvements in student well-being and academic performance.
- Experience in school improvement or transformation projects.
- Familiarity with the use of data and analytics to support decision-making and strategy development.
