The Opportunity:
As Assistant Principal - Industry Engagement, you will lead the integration of industry partnerships and alumni engagement across creative sectors. This role is pivotal in shaping curriculum experiences that provide students with real-world exposure, mentorship, and progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and embed industry engagement and alumni strategy across music, film, television, and games.
- Develop and oversee partnerships with leading industry organizations to enhance student learning and career pathways.
- Ensure industry integration through live briefs, masterclasses, mentoring, and work experience opportunities.
- Drive inclusive and future-focused initiatives that align with the school’s mission and values.
- Oversee alumni development and ensure strong connections between students, graduates, and industry professionals.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of industry engagement on student outcomes and progression.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape curriculum and industry strategy.
- Promote the school’s vision of diversity and representation within the creative industries.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in education or industry engagement roles.
- Strong understanding of the creative industries and their educational needs.
- Experience in developing and managing industry partnerships and alumni networks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and achieve ambitious goals.
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development with industry input.
- Background in music, film, television, or games sectors.
- Knowledge of UK creative industries and their challenges and opportunities.
- Experience in leading or supporting alumni engagement programs.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and educational excellence.
