The Opportunity:

As Assistant Principal - Industry Engagement, you will lead the integration of industry partnerships and alumni engagement across creative sectors. This role is pivotal in shaping curriculum experiences that provide students with real-world exposure, mentorship, and progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and embed industry engagement and alumni strategy across music, film, television, and games.
  • Develop and oversee partnerships with leading industry organizations to enhance student learning and career pathways.
  • Ensure industry integration through live briefs, masterclasses, mentoring, and work experience opportunities.
  • Drive inclusive and future-focused initiatives that align with the school’s mission and values.
  • Oversee alumni development and ensure strong connections between students, graduates, and industry professionals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of industry engagement on student outcomes and progression.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape curriculum and industry strategy.
  • Promote the school’s vision of diversity and representation within the creative industries.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in education or industry engagement roles.
  • Strong understanding of the creative industries and their educational needs.
  • Experience in developing and managing industry partnerships and alumni networks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and achieve ambitious goals.
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development with industry input.
  • Background in music, film, television, or games sectors.
  • Knowledge of UK creative industries and their challenges and opportunities.
  • Experience in leading or supporting alumni engagement programs.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and educational excellence.
