The Opportunity:

As the Director of Music, you will lead and shape the school’s music performance and production provision. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role focused on curriculum design, team development, and industry engagement. You will ensure the music pathway is ambitious, inclusive, and aligned with professional practice, while creating platforms to showcase trainee work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of the music performance and production curriculum.
  • Build and maintain strong industry partnerships with leading organisations in the music sector.
  • Drive high standards in teaching and production across the school’s music provision.
  • Support trainees in developing their skills and showcasing their work through performance and production opportunities.
  • Foster an inclusive and innovative learning environment that reflects the school’s values.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align the music pathway with the school’s vision and strategic goals.
  • Ensure the curriculum meets the knowledge, skills, and cultural demands of the music industry.
  • Mentor and develop a team of music practitioners and educators.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven leadership experience in a music education or performance setting.
  • Strong background in curriculum design and delivery.
