The Opportunity:

As a Vice Principal, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Principal in driving the school’s vision and values. You will lead in key areas such as curriculum, pastoral care, and staff development, ensuring the school continues to deliver high standards in education and student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage curriculum development, including the wider curriculum and timetable.
  • Oversee pastoral care, ensuring effective behaviour management, student wellbeing, safeguarding, and inclusion.
  • Coordinate assessment processes, including internal and external examinations.
  • Support teaching and learning, including teacher training and professional development.
  • Manage staff development, including performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents and the wider community through engagement and communication.
  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school, supporting the Principal and Senior Vice Principal.
  • Deputise for the Senior Vice Principal or Principal when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership team within a high-performing school.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Demonstrable experience in curriculum leadership and pastoral care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.

Preferred

  • Experience in staff development and performance management.
  • Background in assessment and examination processes.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching and learning strategies.
  • Experience in parental and community engagement.
