The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the pastoral care system to ensure the well-being and academic success of all students.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement school-wide policies and strategies.
- Manage and mentor a team of pastoral staff, providing professional development and guidance.
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and evaluate student behavior, attendance, and engagement to drive continuous improvement.
- Represent the school at community and external events, promoting the school's values and achievements.
- Support the implementation of the school’s leadership programme and character development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and welfare policies, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
- Proven experience in managing a high-achieving faculty and delivering outstanding attainment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in an educational setting.
- Strong commitment to the STAR values and a school’s mission of excellence and leadership development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a pastoral leadership role within a school setting.
- Experience with leadership and character development programmes.
- Experience of working in a faith-based or diverse educational environment.
- Experience with safeguarding and pastoral care procedures.
