The Opportunity:

As a Finance Officer, you will provide essential financial support to a school committed to empowering young women through academic excellence and leadership development. This role is central to maintaining the school’s high standards and ensuring the smooth operation of its financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee financial administration within a school setting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting using management information systems.
  • Support the school’s financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, pupils, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide expert financial advice to support the school’s strategic goals.
  • Assist with audit and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor and control school expenditure to ensure value for money.
  • Collaborate with the wider business support team to deliver a seamless service.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience of financial administration within a school setting.
  • Experience of working in a financial role.
  • Ability to use management information systems.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with financial systems and software.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Experience in a leadership or management role.
