The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working Assistant Site Controller to ensure the safety, security, and day-to-day running of the school premises. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the school and grounds are safe, secure, and clean for all users.
• Carry out a range of duties including cleaning, tidying, monitoring of utilities, and manual handling.
• Accompany contractors around the site when necessary.
• Lock and unlock the school outside of normal hours for occasional events.
• Identify and address maintenance needs promptly and take initiative in making repairs.
• Develop good professional relationships with staff, students, and visitors.
• Undertake any relevant training to enhance skills and performance.
• Solve problems proactively and demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Good maintenance skills and knowledge.
• Health and safety awareness.
• Ability to carry out minor repair work and manual handling tasks.
• Commitment to ensuring a clean, safe, and secure environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional evenings or weekends.
• Experience with school operations or facilities management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive salary range of £28,096 - £31,935 per annum, including fridge allowance.
• On-site accommodation available with a modest 10% salary contribution plus utilities.
• Induction period with the current team to support transition and learning.
