The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and responsible Site Controller Assistant to help maintain the safety, security, and cleanliness of the school premises. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the school and grounds are safe, secure, and clean at all times.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and tidying of premises.
  • Monitor utilities and report any issues promptly.
  • Accompany contractors around the site when necessary.
  • Lock and unlock the school during out-of-hours events as required.
  • Undertake relevant training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Develop positive relationships with students, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in maintenance or similar roles, with the ability to perform minor repairs.
  • Good health and safety awareness.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undertake training and take initiative in problem-solving.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working outside of standard hours or in a shift-based role.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £28,096 - £31,935 per annum, including fridge allowance.
