The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Site Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-kept environment for students, staff, and visitors. This is a vital position that supports the school’s mission of creating a positive and inspiring learning space for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Estates & Facilities Manager and School Business Manager in ensuring compliance with statutory and safety requirements.
  • Guide and lead the site team to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation across the school.
  • Ensure that all buildings and grounds are secure and ready to support learning and teaching.
  • Collaborate with staff to address practical issues and maintain a welcoming environment for all.
  • Assist in the implementation of school policies and procedures related to site management and maintenance.
  • Monitor and report on the condition of school facilities and grounds.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure the school environment meets the highest standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Understanding of school operations and compliance requirements.

Preferred

  • Experience in facilities management or estates management.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience with school improvement projects or infrastructure maintenance.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Familiarity with educational environments and the needs of students and staff.
