The Opportunity:
As an Assistant Site Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-kept environment for students, staff, and visitors. This is a vital position that supports the school’s mission of creating a positive and inspiring learning space for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Estates & Facilities Manager and School Business Manager in ensuring compliance with statutory and safety requirements.
- Guide and lead the site team to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation across the school.
- Ensure that all buildings and grounds are secure and ready to support learning and teaching.
- Collaborate with staff to address practical issues and maintain a welcoming environment for all.
- Assist in the implementation of school policies and procedures related to site management and maintenance.
- Monitor and report on the condition of school facilities and grounds.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure the school environment meets the highest standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.
- Understanding of school operations and compliance requirements.
Preferred
- Experience in facilities management or estates management.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Experience with school improvement projects or infrastructure maintenance.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Familiarity with educational environments and the needs of students and staff.
