The Opportunity:

As an Athletics Coach, you will support the delivery of a dynamic Athletics Programme for students during the Summer Term 2026. This is a casual role, offering flexibility and the chance to contribute to a school with a strong sporting tradition and a focus on student excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a high-quality Athletics Programme tailored to student needs.
• Coach students in a variety of athletic disciplines, including track and field events.
• Support the development of athletes at all levels, from beginners to advanced competitors.
• Work closely with other coaches and teaching staff to ensure a cohesive sporting experience.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students to foster a passion for athletics.
• Assist with the organisation and delivery of training sessions and competitions.
• Stay current with best practices in athletics coaching and sport science.
• Contribute to the overall sporting culture and ethos of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in coaching athletics within schools, clubs, or sports pathways.
• Strong technical knowledge of athletics disciplines and techniques.
• Ability to work on a casual basis for 6–12 hours per week during the Summer Term.
• Commitment to student development and a passion for athletics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience in officiating athletics events.
• Previous experience working within a school or boarding environment.
• Knowledge of sport science or related fields.
• Experience with athlete development and performance planning.
