The Opportunity:
As an Attendance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting student attendance and engagement. This is a part-time position that offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and contribute to a school with a proven record of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track student attendance on a daily basis
- Liaise with students, parents, and staff to address attendance issues
- Support the implementation of strategies to improve attendance rates
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of attendance data
- Provide regular reports and insights to relevant stakeholders
- Collaborate with pastoral teams to support student well-being
- Promote positive attendance behavior through communication and engagement
- Assist in the planning and delivery of attendance-related training and initiatives
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a similar role within an educational setting
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to student welfare and attendance improvement
Preferred
- Experience with attendance management systems
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies
- Experience in a Catholic or faith-based educational environment
- Understanding of the importance of pastoral care in education
