The Opportunity:

As an Attendance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting student attendance and engagement. This is a part-time position that offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and contribute to a school with a proven record of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track student attendance on a daily basis
  • Liaise with students, parents, and staff to address attendance issues
  • Support the implementation of strategies to improve attendance rates
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of attendance data
  • Provide regular reports and insights to relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with pastoral teams to support student well-being
  • Promote positive attendance behavior through communication and engagement
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of attendance-related training and initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to student welfare and attendance improvement

Preferred

  • Experience with attendance management systems
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Experience in a Catholic or faith-based educational environment
  • Understanding of the importance of pastoral care in education
