Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Biology and Science lessons to students across all key stages.
- Develop and implement engaging, curriculum-focused teaching strategies.
- Assess student progress and use data to inform teaching and learning.
- Support students with additional needs and provide targeted academic assistance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Participate in and lead extra-curricular activities that enrich the student experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians through regular reports and meetings.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A recognised degree in Science from an accredited university, along with a PGCE, QTS, or other internationally recognised teaching qualification.
- At least three years of experience teaching Science and Biology across key stages 3 to 5.
- Proven success in delivering I/GCSE and A Level qualifications.
- Strong classroom management and assessment skills with experience in using data to improve learning outcomes.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Commitment to professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Office 365 products.
Preferred
- Experience with SIMS or other school management systems.
- Recent training in Safeguarding and Child Protection.
- Involvement in extra-curricular activities and leadership roles.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary ranging from CI$55,000 to CI$68,500 per annum, tax-free.
