The Opportunity:
As Vice Principal (Primary), you will lead the strategic and academic direction of the Primary School (Nursery to Year 6), ensuring high standards in teaching, learning, and pastoral care. This is a pivotal role for someone passionate about Catholic education and committed to fostering a culture of excellence and faith.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic direction and daily operations of the Primary School.
- Oversee the integration and embedding of the Catholic ethos into all aspects of the school.
- Drive school improvement based on the outcomes of recent inspections and future goals.
- Ensure excellence in teaching, learning, and curriculum delivery aligned with the UK National Curriculum.
- Support and develop senior leaders and staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Implement quality assurance processes to improve student achievement and academic progress.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop inclusive and effective teaching practices for all learners.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and diocesan requirements for safeguarding and child protection.
- Manage the recruitment, retention, and professional development of high-quality staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Leadership and management qualifications with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in primary education, including 10+ years in a senior leadership role within a Catholic school.
- PGCE, QTS, or other internationally recognized teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in leading a Catholic ethos and school improvement.
- Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and curriculum development for Years N to 6.
- Strong knowledge of current education trends and safeguarding practices.
Preferred
- Experience in leading school-wide strategic development and improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments.
- Experience in managing large teams and driving professional development.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary ranging from CI$76,500 to CI$90,500 per annum, tax-free.
