The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mathematics education to students across multiple key stages. You will be part of a dedicated team that values innovation, collaboration, and the holistic development of every student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students across KS3–5.
- Monitor and assess student progress using a range of formal and informal assessment methods.
- Support students with individual learning needs, including those with SEND, through targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
- Participate in and lead extra-curricular activities that promote a love of mathematics and STEM.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide regular feedback to parents and students.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
- Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and child protection through appropriate training and practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A recognised degree in Mathematics or a related field, along with a PGCE, QTS, or equivalent internationally recognised teaching qualification.
- Minimum of three years’ experience teaching mathematics to students across KS3–5, with a proven record of success in I/GCSE and A Level examinations.
- Strong knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies, with the ability to use assessment data to improve student outcomes.
- Experience in working with students with special educational needs and providing targeted support.
- Commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and values, along with a willingness to contribute to the spiritual and personal development of students.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Office 365 products.
Preferred
- Experience with SIMS or other school management systems.
- Leadership experience in extra-curricular activities or subject-specific initiatives.
- Recent safeguarding and child protection training.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary ranging from CI$55,000 to CI$68,500 per annum, tax-free.
