Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mathematics instruction across KS3–5, with a focus on student achievement and progression.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instruction and improve learning outcomes.
- Support students with additional needs, including those with SEND, through targeted interventions and individualised support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, participate in professional development, and contribute to departmental initiatives.
- Engage in extra-curricular activities and lead initiatives that promote student involvement and school spirit.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with parents through reports and meetings.
- Uphold and promote the school’s Catholic values and mission in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A recognised degree in Mathematics or a related field, along with a PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum of three years’ experience teaching mathematics at KS3–5, with a proven record of I/GCSE and A Level success.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver effective classroom instruction and use assessment to improve learning outcomes.
- Experience working with students with additional needs and providing targeted support.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices, with recent relevant training.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office/Office 365 products and experience with SIMS is an advantage.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or participating in extra-curricular activities.
- Commitment to continuing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range from CI$55,000 to CI$68,500 per annum, tax-free, based on experience and qualifications.
