The Opportunity:

A school is seeking an EYFS Teacher with Middle Lead Responsibility to deliver high-quality, child-centred learning for young learners. This role offers the opportunity to lead and shape provision across a three-class year group, while contributing to a dynamic and innovative school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a broad, balanced, inquiry-based EYFS curriculum aligned with the UK Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and Cayman Islands Early Years Inspection Framework.
• Lead and develop academic and pastoral provision across three EYFS classes using a continuous provision model.
• Serve as Year Group Lead, mentoring colleagues and ensuring consistently high standards of teaching and learning.
• Contribute to whole-school improvement through middle leadership responsibilities and collaboration with colleagues.
• Design and maintain stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments that encourage curiosity and independence.
• Undertake ongoing assessment aligned with the Development Matters framework and school policies.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all learners.
• Actively participate in extra-curricular activities and school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject and an internationally recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, BEd, HDipEd).
• Minimum of three years’ current experience teaching a British-based curriculum.
• At least one year of previous middle leadership experience.
• Current knowledge and experience of teaching the revised EYFS 2014 and the Development Matters framework.
• Familiarity with the Cayman Islands Early Years Inspection Framework (2024).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient in using Management Information Systems (SIMS) and Microsoft Office products.
