Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Religious Education and History across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including IGCSE and A-level qualifications.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and creativity.
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Support and participate in a wide range of school-related activities and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Ensure a positive, inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school’s Christian ethos.
  • Stay up to date with the British National Curriculum and integrate it effectively into lesson planning.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and maintain accurate records of academic progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Religious Education or History.
  • An internationally recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Bachelor of Education, or H.Dip.Ed).
  • Minimum of three years’ recent experience teaching History and Religious Studies at Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A-level.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Full IT literacy.
  • Commitment to the Christian ethos of the school.

Preferred

  • Willingness and ability to teach additional subjects, such as Geography.
  • Experience in a multicultural international school environment.
  • Experience with character-based learning and individual learning plans.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of CI$50,700.00 – CI$69,950.00 per annum.
