Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and challenging Biology lessons to students from Key Stage 3 through to A Level.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that promote student engagement and academic success.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.
• Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning.
• Contribute to the wider curriculum, including the teaching of other science subjects.
• Support the pastoral care and wellbeing of students.
• Participate in professional development and ongoing training opportunities.
• Uphold the school’s values and commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A good honours degree in a relevant subject.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE teaching qualification, preferably from the UK.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in teaching Biology or a related subject.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Preferred

• Experience teaching Biology through to A Level.
• Experience with the British curriculum.
• Ability to teach other science subjects at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4.
• Experience with data-driven teaching and learning.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
