Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and challenging Biology lessons that incorporate real-world examples and synoptic links across scientific disciplines.
• Support students in achieving excellent exam results, with a focus on A Level and IGCSE Biology.
• Contribute to the teaching of Double Award Science and Lower School Science courses.
• Lead and manage extension activities such as Dissection Club, the Curie Society, and the Medical Society.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and impactful teaching strategies.
• Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students within the department.
• Stay up to date with developments in the field of Biology and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in Biology education at A Level and GCSE.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver complex scientific concepts clearly.
• Experience in working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
• Commitment to student wellbeing and personal development.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

• Experience with teaching in a school with a strong medical and scientific focus.
• Involvement in extracurricular science activities or clubs.
• Experience with curriculum development and innovation in science education.
• Familiarity with Edexcel Biology B and IGCSE Biology syllabi.
