The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Guide pupils from reluctant readers to analytical thinkers and from hesitant writers to persuasive communicators.
- Deliver engaging lessons that balance academic rigor with creativity and warmth.
- Support students with additional needs through structured, inclusive teaching practices.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of literature.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
- Ability to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement.
Preferred
- Experience working with students who have additional needs.
- Background in differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching practices.
- Familiarity with exam techniques and preparation for GCSE English.
- Passion for literature and a deep understanding of English language and its impact on learning.
