As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping students’ academic and personal development. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English across Key Stages 3 to 5, delivering a dynamic and engaging curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving success at GCSE and A-Level, working closely with the Head of English.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s Future Skills Vision.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities and events that enhance the student experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as part of a strong, supportive team.
  • Stay up to date with current educational trends and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including professional development and school initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong academic background in English.
  • Proven ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Experience teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Future Skills Vision or similar educational initiatives.
  • Involvement in co-curricular or extra-curricular activities.
  • Experience with Sixth Form teaching or post-16 education.
  • Background in delivering innovative and creative teaching methods.
