Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design & Engineering lessons up to and including A level, ensuring engaging and challenging learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies.
  • Contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Participate in a comprehensive induction and continuing professional development (CPD) programme.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Maintain and develop outstanding, well-equipped facilities for teaching and learning.
  • Engage with students in a way that fosters curiosity, creativity, and practical skills in Design & Engineering.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher or graduate with relevant subject knowledge in Design & Engineering.
  • Experience in teaching Design & Engineering up to A level.
  • Commitment to academic excellence and student development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience with the PGCE pathway or teacher training.
  • Background in innovative teaching and learning strategies.
  • Experience with safeguarding and child welfare.
  • Familiarity with co-curricular and pastoral support roles.
