Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Design & Engineering lessons up to and including A level, ensuring engaging and challenging learning experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies.
- Contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Participate in a comprehensive induction and continuing professional development (CPD) programme.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Maintain and develop outstanding, well-equipped facilities for teaching and learning.
- Engage with students in a way that fosters curiosity, creativity, and practical skills in Design & Engineering.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher or graduate with relevant subject knowledge in Design & Engineering.
- Experience in teaching Design & Engineering up to A level.
- Commitment to academic excellence and student development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school.
Preferred
- Experience with the PGCE pathway or teacher training.
- Background in innovative teaching and learning strategies.
- Experience with safeguarding and child welfare.
- Familiarity with co-curricular and pastoral support roles.
