The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Biology lessons at KS3, KS4, and KS5, with a focus on A-Level teaching.
  • Support the school’s ethos by participating in extra-curricular activities and contributing to the broader school community.
  • Utilize digital technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and raise academic standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative and flexible curricula that meet the needs of all students.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of Science.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of Science education.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized and inclusive teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Science at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons and raise student achievement.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos and values, including a focus on whole-child education.
  • Experience working in a co-ordinated education model, where boys and girls are taught separately but participate together in co-curricular activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with A-Level Biology teaching.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and resources used in Science education.
  • Previous involvement in extra-curricular activities or leadership roles within a school setting.
  • Experience in a non-selective school environment.
