The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated and passionate Chemistry Teacher to join its Senior School and Sixth Form. This is a full-time permanent position starting in September 2026, offering the opportunity to shape young minds and deliver high-quality lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Prepare and implement innovative and flexible curricula in line with the school’s educational ethos.
  • Participate actively in the school’s extra-curricular programme and broader school life.
  • Utilise digital technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement and raise standards.
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Chemistry and incorporate them into teaching practice.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of A-Level courses as a significant part of the role.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the appropriate age range.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at KS3, KS4, and KS5, with a focus on A-Level teaching.
  • Ability to consistently deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos and a willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with digital technology in teaching and learning.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities or leadership roles within a school setting.
  • Experience in a co-ordinated education environment or similar setting.
  • A passion for inspiring and motivating students to achieve their best.
