The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Biology Teacher to join our successful Science department and inspire students in the senior school. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student progress and enthusiasm for the subject, while working in a dynamic and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, innovative biology lessons that engage and challenge students
- Support students in making excellent progress at GCSE and A Level
- Work collaboratively with the Science department and other staff to maintain a strong ethos of teamwork and shared success
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and teaching resources
- Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students as needed
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay up to date with best practice in science education
- Participate in co-curricular activities and school events
- Maintain accurate records and assessments of student performance
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Biology teaching
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative environment
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at GCSE and A Level
- Experience with Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or a willingness to support their development
- Familiarity with STEM education and its progression pathways
- Experience in a boarding school or similar environment
