The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Biology Teacher to join our successful Science department and inspire students in the senior school. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student progress and enthusiasm for the subject, while working in a dynamic and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, innovative biology lessons that engage and challenge students
  • Support students in making excellent progress at GCSE and A Level
  • Work collaboratively with the Science department and other staff to maintain a strong ethos of teamwork and shared success
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and teaching resources
  • Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students as needed
  • Engage in continuous professional development and stay up to date with best practice in science education
  • Participate in co-curricular activities and school events
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student performance

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Biology teaching
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative environment

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at GCSE and A Level
  • Experience with Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or a willingness to support their development
  • Familiarity with STEM education and its progression pathways
  • Experience in a boarding school or similar environment
