The Opportunity:
As an IT Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering innovative and engaging computing and ICT lessons across all key stages. You will support students in making excellent progress and contribute to a department that offers both GCSE and A-level qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging, and innovative computing and ICT lessons across all key stages
- Support students in making excellent progress and achieving outstanding results
- Collaborate with the department to develop and deliver GCSE Computer Science and A-level or BTEC ICT qualifications
- Utilise dedicated computing and ICT facilities to enhance teaching and learning
- Stay up to date with developments in computing education and integrate new technologies into the curriculum
- Contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Computing or ICT
- Ability to teach across all key stages
- Strong subject knowledge in Computing and ICT
- Excellent classroom management and teaching skills
- Commitment to student progress and achievement
- Willingness to undergo child protection screening
Preferred
- Experience with GCSE and A-level Computer Science or BTEC ICT qualifications
- Enthusiasm for professional development and innovation in teaching
- Experience working in a boarding school environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with modern computing technologies and teaching tools
