The Opportunity:

As an IT Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering innovative and engaging computing and ICT lessons across all key stages. You will support students in making excellent progress and contribute to a department that offers both GCSE and A-level qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging, and innovative computing and ICT lessons across all key stages
  • Support students in making excellent progress and achieving outstanding results
  • Collaborate with the department to develop and deliver GCSE Computer Science and A-level or BTEC ICT qualifications
  • Utilise dedicated computing and ICT facilities to enhance teaching and learning
  • Stay up to date with developments in computing education and integrate new technologies into the curriculum
  • Contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Computing or ICT
  • Ability to teach across all key stages
  • Strong subject knowledge in Computing and ICT
  • Excellent classroom management and teaching skills
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement
  • Willingness to undergo child protection screening

Preferred

  • Experience with GCSE and A-level Computer Science or BTEC ICT qualifications
  • Enthusiasm for professional development and innovation in teaching
  • Experience working in a boarding school environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with modern computing technologies and teaching tools
