The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Biology Teacher to join a successful and innovative department. This role involves teaching Biology across all key stages, including GCSE, IB, and A Level. The successful candidate will contribute to a department known for its cutting-edge enrichment programs, such as the Stan-X genetic engineering project with Stanford University.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Biology lessons to students across all key stages, including GCSE, IB, and A Level.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that align with the school’s commitment to academic excellence.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of enrichment programs, including the Stan-X genetic engineering project.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance the learning experience for students.
  • Participate in pastoral, co-curricular, and cultural activities outside of normal teaching hours.
  • Support the school’s mission of developing the whole person through academic, co-curricular, and pastoral activities.
  • Engage in professional development and leadership training opportunities.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and appropriate teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching Biology at GCSE, IB, and A Level.
  • Strong commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.
  • Ability to contribute to a wide range of co-curricular and pastoral activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with innovative teaching methods or enrichment programs.
  • Background in genetic engineering or related scientific research.
  • Experience with international educational partnerships or collaboration.
  • Leadership experience or interest in developing leadership skills.
