The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Drama and Theatre Studies Teacher to join a forward-thinking department. This part-time role offers the opportunity to teach across GCSE, A Level, and IB Higher Level, contributing to a school renowned for its innovative and successful approach to education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Drama and Theatre Studies lessons to students across GCSE, A Level, and IB Higher Level.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging, and innovative lessons that inspire students and foster a love of drama and theatre.
- Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals through effective teaching and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and assessment strategies.
- Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme and wider pastoral and cultural activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Drama and Theatre Studies at GCSE, A Level, or IB.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for drama and theatre.
- Experience in delivering engaging and innovative lessons to a range of students.
- Commitment to the school’s ethos of developing the whole person.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching in a boarding or day school environment.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate programme.
- Experience with pastoral and co-curricular activities.
- Experience in professional development and leadership training.
