The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Drama and Theatre Studies Teacher to join a forward-thinking department. This part-time role offers the opportunity to teach across GCSE, A Level, and IB Higher Level, contributing to a school renowned for its innovative and successful approach to education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Drama and Theatre Studies lessons to students across GCSE, A Level, and IB Higher Level.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging, and innovative lessons that inspire students and foster a love of drama and theatre.
  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals through effective teaching and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme and wider pastoral and cultural activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Drama and Theatre Studies at GCSE, A Level, or IB.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for drama and theatre.
  • Experience in delivering engaging and innovative lessons to a range of students.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos of developing the whole person.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in a boarding or day school environment.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate programme.
  • Experience with pastoral and co-curricular activities.
  • Experience in professional development and leadership training.
