Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality science lessons that inspire and challenge students at all levels.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement.
• Support students in making excellent progress through personalized learning and assessment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and share best practices.
• Stay up to date with developments in science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
• Mentor and support early career teachers where appropriate.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a relevant science degree and QTS.
• Experience teaching science to KS3/4 and ideally KS5.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to student progress and high standards of teaching.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

• Experience with STEM education or leadership roles in science.
• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
• Previous experience in a Multi-Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
• Passion for using technology to enhance science learning.
