The Opportunity:
As a Teacher of Science, you will play a vital role in inspiring and supporting students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. This is an exciting opportunity for passionate educators who are committed to delivering engaging and impactful science education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality science lessons that inspire and challenge students at all levels.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement.
- Support students in making excellent progress through personalized learning and assessment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and share best practices.
- Stay up to date with developments in science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
- Mentor and support early career teachers where appropriate.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant science degree and QTS.
- Experience teaching science to KS3/4 and ideally KS5.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student progress and high standards of teaching.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience with STEM education or leadership roles in science.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
- Previous experience in a Multi-Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
- Passion for using technology to enhance science learning.
