The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Business & Economics to students across all key stages.
  • Support students to develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of economic principles.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and purposeful learning environment that encourages curiosity and participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver a cohesive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their best.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities, pastoral support, and professional development.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new ideas and teaching methods into your practice.
  • Work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Business & Economics.
  • Proven experience in teaching Business & Economics at secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student success.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering a bespoke curriculum.
  • Familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular activities.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
