As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping students’ literacy and critical thinking skills across Key Stages Three to Five. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage Three to Key Stage Five.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in English Language and English Literature.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support continuous professional development.
  • Enhance students’ literacy skills through a range of engaging activities and resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent outcomes and improvement.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Support the integration of digital tools such as Sparx Reader to enhance learning.
  • Work closely with students to foster a love of reading and writing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in English or related subject.
  • Experience in teaching English at Key Stages Three to Five.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience of working in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies.
  • Experience with blended learning approaches in English education.
