The Opportunity:
As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping students’ literacy and critical thinking skills across Key Stages Three to Five. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage Three to Key Stage Five.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in English Language and English Literature.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support continuous professional development.
- Enhance students’ literacy skills through a range of engaging activities and resources.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent outcomes and improvement.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.
- Support the integration of digital tools such as Sparx Reader to enhance learning.
- Work closely with students to foster a love of reading and writing.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in English or related subject.
- Experience in teaching English at Key Stages Three to Five.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
- Experience of working in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies.
- Experience with blended learning approaches in English education.
