Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and a deep understanding of History.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
- Support the development of students’ academic and personal skills.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice.
- Work closely with pastoral teams to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in History or a related subject.
- Proven experience in teaching Humanities (History) at the secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering innovative curriculum content.
- Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Experience in extracurricular or enrichment activities.
