Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons that build confidence and stretch understanding.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all students, including those with additional support requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and continuously improve teaching and learning.
- Support students’ academic progress through regular assessment, feedback, and targeted interventions.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, pastoral support, and professional development.
- Stay up to date with current educational research and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
- Work closely with parents and carers to support student learning and progress.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student performance and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Experience of teaching Maths at secondary level.
- Commitment to inclusive education and supporting students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching in a school with a strong focus on inclusion and pastoral care.
- Experience of leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Experience of using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Experience of working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational partnership.
