Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that challenge and motivate students.
  • Support students in developing strong mathematical skills and confidence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and resource sharing.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of teaching strategies.
  • Encourage active learning and critical thinking in students.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Maths education and incorporate new teaching methods.
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience in teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching Maths at Key Stage 5.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Experience with using technology in the classroom.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching strategies.
