The Opportunity:

As a Business Studies Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to Sixth Form students, preparing them for A-Level and BTEC Level 3 courses. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on students’ futures in a supportive and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Business Studies lessons to Sixth Form students up to A-Level and BTEC Level 3.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and progression.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to the wider curriculum by participating in extracurricular activities and student-led initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching and learning.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject area and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
  • Support students in developing essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure alignment with the school’s educational goals and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant teaching qualification and degree-level subject knowledge in Business Studies.
  • Experience teaching Business Studies at A-Level or BTEC Level 3.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student groups.
  • Experience in professional development and Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in further education or Sixth Form Colleges.
