The Opportunity:

As a Personal Development Coach, you will deliver engaging tutorials and workshops to support 16-18 year olds in preparing for adulthood, further study, and employment. You will also assist with UCAS applications and provide guidance on apprenticeships and career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality group tutorials and workshops to support student development and transition to adulthood.
  • Provide guidance and support to students throughout the UCAS application process.
  • Assist students in exploring and applying for apprenticeship and employment opportunities.
  • Encourage personal growth, confidence, and independence in learners.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress and development throughout their time at the institution.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to student progress and participation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in delivering personal development or career guidance programmes to young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with 16-18 year olds in an educational setting.
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging tutorials and workshops.
  • Understanding of the UCAS application process and higher education pathways.

Preferred

  • Experience in supporting students with apprenticeship applications.
  • Background in teaching or coaching within further education.
  • Familiarity with career planning and employment support services.
  • Experience in a school or college environment with a strong focus on student development.
