The Opportunity:
As a Business Support Officer - Attendance, you will play a vital role in supporting the school’s mission to deliver excellence in education. Your work will directly impact student attendance and help ensure a positive learning environment for young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor student attendance records accurately and efficiently.
- Support the school in implementing strategies to improve attendance and reduce absenteeism.
- Communicate with parents, teachers, and students to address attendance-related concerns.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date records using school management systems and MS Office software.
- Collaborate with the business support team to ensure consistent and effective attendance management practices.
- Provide regular reports and insights on attendance trends to senior staff.
- Assist in the development and delivery of attendance improvement initiatives.
- Support the school’s leadership and academic goals through proactive and professional service.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4/A*-C.
- Experience of working in an administrative setting.
- Proficiency in using MS Office software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Experience with attendance management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of leadership programs or initiatives in education.
