The Opportunity:
As a Senior Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for students during lunchtimes. This is a key position in supporting the school’s mission to promote the welfare and success of all young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the lunchtime supervisor team to ensure consistent and effective supervision.
- Supervise and manage pupils across the school site during lunchtimes, promoting positive behavior and a safe environment.
- Support the school’s inclusive ethos by fostering positive relationships with students.
- Carry out ancillary duties as required to support the smooth running of the school.
- Ensure compliance with the school’s policies and procedures related to student welfare and safety.
- Collaborate with staff and students to maintain a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
- Provide regular feedback and support to the lunchtime team to enhance performance and morale.
- Contribute to the development of initiatives that promote student well-being and positive behavior.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Experience working in a school environment with a focus on inclusion and student well-being.
Preferred
- Experience in managing a team of lunchtime supervisors or similar roles.
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management strategies.
- Experience with inclusive education and supporting students with diverse needs.
- Familiarity with school policies and procedures related to student welfare and safety.
