Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one career guidance interviews to support students in making informed decisions about their future
- Develop and deliver career-related workshops and sessions to enhance students’ understanding of different career paths
- Work closely with students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to support their aspirations and ambitions
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure a consistent and comprehensive approach to careers education
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of careers guidance on student outcomes and progress
- Maintain accurate records and reports of student interactions and career-related activities
- Stay up to date with current trends and developments in careers education and employability
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A minimum of two years’ experience working with children, preferably in a secondary education setting
- A clear understanding of the importance of careers education within a school environment
- The ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to supporting students from all backgrounds, including those with additional needs
Preferred
- Experience in delivering careers guidance or related support services
- Knowledge of career development strategies and best practices
- Experience with using digital tools for careers planning and guidance
