Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one career guidance interviews to support students in making informed decisions about their future
  • Develop and deliver career-related workshops and sessions to enhance students’ understanding of different career paths
  • Work closely with students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to support their aspirations and ambitions
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure a consistent and comprehensive approach to careers education
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of careers guidance on student outcomes and progress
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of student interactions and career-related activities
  • Stay up to date with current trends and developments in careers education and employability

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A minimum of two years’ experience working with children, preferably in a secondary education setting
  • A clear understanding of the importance of careers education within a school environment
  • The ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to supporting students from all backgrounds, including those with additional needs

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering careers guidance or related support services
  • Knowledge of career development strategies and best practices
  • Experience with using digital tools for careers planning and guidance
