The Opportunity:
As a Careers Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the school’s Careers and Higher Education programmes. This is a chance to make a real impact on students’ futures while developing your own professional skills in careers education and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of careers and higher education programmes across all Key Stages in line with Gatsby benchmarks.
- Provide high-quality administrative, logistical, and organisational support to the Careers Department.
- Assist in the development and delivery of careers education, information, advice, and guidance sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers and students to ensure effective career planning and progression.
- Contribute to the coordination of events, visits, and work experience opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and data related to careers activities and student progress.
- Support the school’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and student wellbeing.
- Work closely with the Careers Department to ensure a cohesive and impactful programme.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a similar role or in education support.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to supporting students in making informed career choices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using office software and record-keeping systems.
Preferred
- Experience in careers education, information, advice, and guidance.
- Knowledge of Gatsby benchmarks.
- Experience in working with students across a range of ages and abilities.
- A Level 4 or Level 6 qualification in careers-related fields.
- Understanding of inclusive education and student support strategies.
