The Opportunity:

As a Careers Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the school’s Careers and Higher Education programmes. This is a chance to make a real impact on students’ futures while developing your own professional skills in careers education and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of careers and higher education programmes across all Key Stages in line with Gatsby benchmarks.
  • Provide high-quality administrative, logistical, and organisational support to the Careers Department.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of careers education, information, advice, and guidance sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and students to ensure effective career planning and progression.
  • Contribute to the coordination of events, visits, and work experience opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and data related to careers activities and student progress.
  • Support the school’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and student wellbeing.
  • Work closely with the Careers Department to ensure a cohesive and impactful programme.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a similar role or in education support.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to supporting students in making informed career choices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using office software and record-keeping systems.

Preferred

  • Experience in careers education, information, advice, and guidance.
  • Knowledge of Gatsby benchmarks.
  • Experience in working with students across a range of ages and abilities.
  • A Level 4 or Level 6 qualification in careers-related fields.
  • Understanding of inclusive education and student support strategies.
