The Opportunity:

As a Careers Coordinator, you will lead and develop a high-quality careers education programme that supports students in making informed decisions about their future. This role is essential in helping students achieve successful post-16 and post-18 destinations, in line with the Gatsby Benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG) programme.
  • Ensure all provision meets statutory requirements and aligns with the Gatsby Benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with staff, students, parents, and external partners to improve student outcomes.
  • Deliver high-quality, impartial careers advice and guidance to all learners.
  • Support students in making informed decisions about their future pathways and career options.
  • Work closely with external partners to provide additional opportunities for students.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the CEIAG programme.
  • Contribute to the development of careers-related policies and strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in careers education or related field.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, impartial careers advice and guidance.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and external partners.
  • Understanding of the Gatsby Benchmarks and statutory requirements for CEIAG.

Preferred

  • Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development.
  • Experience of working within a school or educational trust.
  • Knowledge of post-16 and post-18 pathways and destinations.
  • Experience in developing and delivering CPD programmes.
