The Opportunity:

As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-kept environment for students and staff. This hands-on role offers the chance to work with a cohesive team, ensuring the school site runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the school site, ensuring it is clean, safe, and well-kept.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Coordinate with external contractors when necessary to complete larger maintenance projects.
  • Work closely with the Premises Manager to ensure all site operations are running smoothly.
  • Assist with general upkeep, including cleaning, gardening, and minor repairs.
  • Support the school community by creating a welcoming and secure environment for all.
  • Participate in training programs, including first aid if required.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of events and school activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • General maintenance skills and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • A professional and positive attitude.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and take pride in the school environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle a variety of tasks.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a caretaker or similar role.
  • Basic first aid knowledge or willingness to gain training.
  • Experience with school premises management or property maintenance.
